Football Betting Guide
This guide explains the main football betting markets used across Correct-Score.net: match result, correct score, both teams to score, over/under goals and accumulators. It supports informed, responsible reading rather than risky staking.
Decimal odds
Decimal odds show the total return per unit staked. A £10 stake at 3.50 returns £35 if the selection wins, including the original stake. Implied probability is calculated by dividing 100 by the decimal odds.
Betting on the correct score
A correct-score selection requires the exact final score for the relevant market period. A 2-1 prediction wins only when the match ends exactly 2-1.
Accumulators
An accumulator combines several selections. Every leg must win. Correct-score accumulators can produce very large odds, but their probability of success falls sharply with every added leg.
Bankroll discipline
- Set a fixed budget before betting.
- Never chase losses.
- Keep stakes small on high-variance markets.
- Use deposit limits, time-outs and reality checks where available.
